Back by popular demand! I am so honored to be hosting an extended version of this workshop that debuted at the WA State Doula Hub Virtual Expo in October 2025.

As BirthKeepers, we honor the sacred wisdom and magic that is the womb. Whether one has a uterus or not, we all carry the energy of the sacred wombspace. As womben and people with uteruses, we are cyclical beings. Cultures around the world have understood the reverence in which our moontime (menstrual period) deserves to be held, with intricate and rich traditions, protocols, and rituals. The unfortunate reality is despite our inherent lunar nature, we live in a patriarchal culture that operates on a male 24-hour schedule. Our current Western eurocentric society does not witness and celebrate the magic of bleeding, and so most of us suffer in silence, going against our very nature for the sake of the grind. I invite us all to question the normalization of ignoring our moontime and to explore what it looks and feels like to organize our lives in which our womb wellness is centered.

In this workshop, I will share my own experience in navigating moontime boundaries with myself and with clients, leading by example in living cyclically, and re-indigenizing our relationships with our moon through ritual and ceremony. We will begin with some cultural and historical context of moontime traditions, primarily from a Native Mesoamerican worldview. We will discuss practical ways to implement boundaries during our moon, how to truly care for ourselves during this time, and what ritual and ceremony during our bleeds can be. While this workshop is centered around menstrual health, this workshop is open to everyone of all genders. If you yourself do not bleed, we invite your experience as someone in relationships with those who do. Our collective liberation is deeply interwoven. I look forward to sitting in this virtual circle with you all. We spend so much time tending to the womb spaces of our kin, and it is also the time to pour that love into our own portals as well.
